During the operation of a small excavator, the barometer sometimes rises slowly, especially when walking, the barometer pressure shows abnormality and the rising speed is obviously slow. In this case, the first thing to do is to check whether there is a leak in the barometer pipeline. If the pipeline is normal after inspection, it is necessary to further check the working status of the air pump. The operator of the small excavator can remove the air outlet pipe of the air pump and then hold the air port with his thumb. If the exhaust pressure of the air pump is low, it means that the air pump has a fault. At this time, the air pump should be repaired or replaced with a new one.
If the inspection finds that there is no problem with the air pump, the next step is to check the drain screw plug and pressure regulating valve of the oil-water separator. Check whether there is any looseness in the relevant joints of the air pump. Once the screw plug or pressure regulating valve is found to be loose, resulting in too low air pressure in the air pump, it is necessary to tighten the screws in time; if the parts are severely worn, then the parts with excessive wear need to be replaced. In addition, it is also necessary to check the two one-way valves in the three-way head, because once the one-way valve is stuck, the air flow will become slow, and eventually the pressure of the barometer will be too low and rise slowly.
The insensitive braking of small excavators is also a common problem, which is manifested in slow braking response during driving, sliding distance beyond the normal range, insufficient parking position accuracy, and obviously too large inertia. When these situations occur, it is necessary to check the brakes and their corresponding pipelines. The first step is to check whether the brakes are leaking oil, because once the brakes leak oil, their power will decrease, which will greatly reduce the braking effect. If the inspection finds that all the main components of the brakes are normal, it is necessary to check the quality of the engine oil, including whether the model of the engine oil is correct and whether there is air mixed in the engine oil. It should be noted that if there is air in the brake oil circuit, it will seriously affect the quality of the engine oil, which will lead to a decrease in the output power of the brake.
After checking the main components of the brake, it is also necessary to check other parts of the brake, such as wheel hub oil seals, brake calipers, brake pads, friction surfaces, and air circuit pressure. Check whether these parts are well sealed, whether the surface is clean, whether there is excessive wear, and whether there are foreign objects or impurities attached. If the friction wear of the parts is too large, then the corresponding parts need to be replaced in time.
