Don't ignore the outage of loader parts, maintenance is critical

Feb 12, 2025

Each loader accessory has laid the foundation for the excellent performance of the loader with its high-precision standards. Different accessories cooperate with each other and work together to enable the loader to show good working efficiency under various working conditions. However, some users may not use loader accessories for a period of time for various reasons. In order to ensure that the accessories can operate normally when they are activated next time and avoid the embarrassing situation of being unable to use them, it is very important to do a good job of maintenance during the period of inactivity. The following is a detailed introduction to the specific maintenance content.

Careful preparation before parking

1. Cleaning and parking site selection: First of all, be sure to thoroughly clean all parts of the loader accessories to ensure that there is no dirt left. After cleaning, place the loader in a dry indoor environment first. If the indoor parking conditions cannot be met and you can only choose outdoor parking, you need to choose a flat ground and lay wooden boards on the ground to reduce the erosion of ground moisture on the loader. After the loader is parked properly, it should be covered tightly with a cover cloth to create a protective barrier for it.

2. Comprehensive maintenance operations: Carefully carry out a series of maintenance work such as oiling, grease application, and oil change. These tasks are like injecting vitality into the loader, ensuring that each component can maintain good performance during the period of inactivity.

3. Key parts protection: For the exposed parts such as the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder and the adjustment rod of the guide wheel, butter should be applied evenly and fully. Butter is like a protective film that can effectively prevent these key parts from rusting and corroding due to contact with air.

4. Proper handling of batteries: For batteries, the "negative pole" needs to be removed and then the battery is properly covered. If conditions permit, it is best to remove it from the vehicle and store it separately, which can better protect the performance of the battery.

5. Special climate protection: When the temperature drops below 0℃, if you do not plan to drain the cold water, you must add an appropriate amount of antifreeze to the cooling water to prevent the cooling water from freezing and bursting related parts. At the same time, adjust the fuel control lever to the idle position, place each joystick in the natural position, and lock it with the safety lever. But be careful not to lock the brake pedal.

Careful storage during parking

1. Regular start and operation: During parking, it is recommended to start the engine once a month and drive a short distance. The purpose of this operation is to re-establish a new oil film on the lubricating parts of each part, just like putting on a layer of anti-rust armor for the parts, effectively preventing the parts from rusting and ensuring that their performance is not affected.

2. Maintenance of working device: When operating the working device, the butter applied to the piston rod of the hydraulic cylinder must be cleaned first. After the operation is completed, re-apply the butter to ensure the good working condition and protective effect of the piston rod.

3. Battery charging management: The battery must be charged regularly, and the charging process must be carried out when the engine is turned off. This can not only ensure charging safety, but also effectively maintain the service life of the battery.

Careful inspection and treatment after parking

After a long period of parking, if an anti-rust operation is performed at the end of each month during the parking period, the loader accessories must be treated as follows before use:

1. Drainage treatment: Open the drain plugs of the oil pan and each box, and carefully drain the water mixed in them. The presence of moisture may cause rust and corrosion of components, affecting the normal operation of the loader.

2. Cylinder head inspection and maintenance: Carefully remove the cylinder head, fully oil the valve and rocker arm, and carefully check the working condition of the valve. If the valve is found to be working abnormally, it needs to be adjusted in time to ensure the normal operation of the engine.

3. Guide wheel adjustment: The alignment of the guide wheel has a vital impact on other parts of the walking mechanism. Adjusting the gap between the guide wheel guide plate and the crawler frame and correcting the misalignment problem are the key to extending the service life of the walking mechanism. During the adjustment process, it can be achieved by adding or removing the gaskets between the guide plate and the bearing. If the gap is too large, some gaskets should be removed appropriately; if the gap is too small, gaskets need to be added.
