Cause investigation of abnormal vibration of excavator hot engine

For some owners who have maintenance capabilities, the problem of shaking during hot engine can be completely self-troubleshooting through the following steps!

Fault phenomenon:

The owner of the fault problem described it very clearly. The machine shook during hot engine. Because it was a quarrying project, and the usual shaking and sound were relatively loud, the owner could not determine the cause of the fault for a while.

Fault analysis:

According to the situation described by the owner and combined with the usual maintenance experience, the engineer made a comprehensive analysis from the following points, which is also a reference for the old drivers who read this article.

1. The shaking during hot engine is related to abnormal oil temperature or abnormal engine water temperature. In particular, the number of hours of the excavator of the owner in the article is not small, so this factor must be considered.

2. Check whether the engine speed is normal during hot engine. There is no need to say more about this. Abnormal speed has a great relationship with machine shaking.

3. Check if the shaking phenomenon still occurs after changing to hydraulic control.

4. Are all actions shaking? Don't ignore the details of this fault, because the causes of the faults can be very different due to different details such as single action shaking and compound action shaking.

5. Are the throttle valves stuck?

6. Is there a fault in the hydraulic oil temperature sensor?

7. Is the fault phenomenon of switching from electronic control to hydraulic control eliminated?

Fault inspection process

1. First, check the engine speed when the engine is hot, and no abnormality is found.

2. Check that the hydraulic oil temperature sensor is normal; (simulated resistance 2K)

3. The current of the electric proportional valve is normal, and the S mode 10th gear is 470mA;

4. The KCM controller is normal;

5. Check that the sensor voltage signal is normal;

6. The shaking fault phenomenon is eliminated after changing the electronic control to hydraulic control;

7. Remove the valve core of the electric proportional valve and find that the valve core O-ring is damaged;

8. Replace the O-ring and the shaking phenomenon is eliminated.

Fault Clearing

Why does a small O-ring break and cause such a serious fault? In fact, many machines fail to meet this fault every year.

The reason is also easy to understand. Once the O-ring of the electromagnetic proportional valve is damaged, the hydraulic oil temperature will increase during the hot machine, and the hydraulic oil will become thinner, resulting in large internal leakage, so the machine will shake after the hot machine.
